As we often say: We’re not in the Beef Business, we’re in the Grass Business! Cattle are grazers and as a species, they evolved to eat grass, not grain. While feeding corn to cattle will make them bulk up faster (the feedlot model), the quality and chemical composition of the meat is completely different. Grass-Fed beef, when done right, has significant nutritional advantages. It is also a more sustainable way to manage the landscape.
The geology of our region paired with abundant rainfall results in the best grass a cow or steer can eat. Taste the difference! Like makers of fine wine, we are proud of our “terroir”. Our soil, water, and grass all contribute to the remarkable flavor of our grass-fed beef.
